History Of KATRICO

Kabale Trinity College was established in 1995 with a bold vision—to offer quality, Christian-based education to young people in the Kigezi region and beyond. It began in a modest rented house on Plot 12, Nkunda Road, with a small group of Senior One students and a dedicated teaching team. Driven by a passion for nurturing disciplined, morally upright, and academically capable learners, the school quickly gained popularity for its values and performance.

As student numbers grew, the school relocated to a more spacious site on Kiroma Road, where it secured its UNEB examination centre (U1017) status. In 2002, the college moved to its current Canaan Campus along the Ndorwa Bypass, with the chapel as its first structure—symbolizing its foundation in Christian faith. Over the years, KATRICO has expanded its academic programs, infrastructure, and spiritual life, producing thousands of graduates who continue to serve across Uganda and the world. Today, it stands as a pillar of excellence, character, and transformation.

Kabale Trinity College was established on Plot 12, Nkunda Road, Kabale Municipality. The school began in a rented house with a small cohort of Senior One students and a mission to provide Christian-based, disciplined, and academically strong education.

To accommodate increasing enrollment, the school moved to a larger space along Kiroma Road. This move created room for expansion and better learning conditions.

Kabale Trinity College was officially recognized as a UNEB examination center with Centre Number U1017, marking a major step toward national credibility in academics.

A significant turning point as the school acquired land and relocated to its permanent home on the scenic Canaan Campus, along the Ndorwa Bypass. The school chapel was the first structure built, reinforcing the school’s Christian identity.

The school expanded its academic offering to include Advanced Level (A-Level) education, enabling students to complete their full secondary education within the same institution.

Kabale Trinity College celebrated two decades of transformative education. Alumni began engaging with current students through mentorship and career guidance programs.

The school commemorates 30 years of educational service, academic transformation, and spiritual leadership. Celebrations include facility upgrades, thanksgiving services, and honoring the legacy of staff, alumni, and founders.
